That would be the Czech Republic to us crackers….
If Gibernau didn’t have bad luck, he would have no luck at all. I like Gibernau, and even if I didn’t I’d feel bad for the guy. The last two races giving up the lead and an assured second (at least) on the last lap has to be devistating. I would like to ensure that someone has put him on suicide watch. Rossi could at least send him a care package.
Overall, that was a great race…likened to last season, or better yet the opening round this year. Not that I don’t want to see Rossi win, but by 2X the points??? I want to see a good race regardless of who wins. Alright, I think Biaggi is a little bitch and I would rather watch a bad race then see him win or get on the podium (damn that Gibernau).
All truth told, Biaggi had to be riding pretty dang fast for him to take third…shhhhh.
I had high(er) hopes for Hayden with the strong start carrying through until later in the race, then he fell off. My guess (once again) is tire management. Strange though as the announcers said that most opted for the ‘hard’ compounds as this track was not rough on tires. And a golf-clap for the old man Capirossi. Ducati were very, VERY happy with a rare podium this season.
As for Edwards…well he was Edwards. Mid-pack but consistent enough to stay at fourth place in the points. I was really hoping Laguna would be a break-out point for either Hayden or Edwards.
Its great to have MotoGP back.

Come on AB, nothing was better than watching the battles Biaggi and Rossi had on and off the track in their 250 days . I just wish that had transferred to the 500’s and Moto gp. It would be a lot more interesting to watch. The racing is good now, but when those guys were in 250 it was the best game in town.
