Los Gatos trio arrested in assault on dirt biker

Three Los Gatos residents have been arrested after they allegedly strung a rope across a road and pulled it taut when a dirt biker approached, causing the rider to be thrown off his motorcycle and sustain serious injuries, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

But wait, there’s more:

The first rider was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, where he remained in a coma for five days.

He suffered severe bone damage and tissue loss and required more than 500 stitches and titanium plates inserted in his face.

I don’t what to say… I’m stunned speechless by the criminal stupidity; especially given the ages of the perpetrators.

Wow! These three should face the stiffest penalties allowed by the law. Horrible!

Death Penalty ……. I’m serious! If you willfully try to severely injure or kill another human being (especially in such a cowardly ambush), your life should be forfeit, whether you’re successful or not! It’s time we start adding some chlorine to the gene pool.

Yeah, I was sent this story this morning via e-mail. There’s no excuse for what these people did; lying in wait, setting a trap, ambushing someone, and causing severe injuries to an innocent person. I’m sure a backstory will emerge in an attempt to “explain” why this happened.

The real reason is pretty simple - some people are animals. Hopefully they will get the book thrown at them.

That would be a good example of over-reacting to what was likely a grouchy old bastard pissed off about the noise…or something. These maggots need to be punished. They need to take a good hard look at the first rider and his condition.

This falls into the same area as people bragging they are going to open car doors to motorcyclists splitting lanes (This was common in my California days).
Just basic non-acceptable actions by some stupid people. The end result is someone got hurt really badly and they will get off much easier.
I am not much for an eye for an eye thing, but in this case I call for First Degree Attempted Homicide as a minimum. Got to be thinking of hurting/killing someone when putting up a rope like that.

they should keep that rope and hang the guys with it… okay maybe just whip them with it…okay maybe just tie them to the seat of a minivan and make them drive it in public.

Dirt bike booby-trap suspects silent in court

Two of the three Los Gatos residents accused of severely injuring their neighbor as he rode his motorcycle into a rope or similar booby trap strung across the road made brief appearances today in a San Jose courtroom but said nothing publicly about the incident.
