Happy Memorial Day - Contributor’s Rule #3

Keeping this article motorcycle-related, I have a friend who does a dedication ride every Memorial Day for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to my country - the USA.  He is a Vietnam veteran and simply a great American.  I have asked him to include me in spirit on his ride tomorrow as I will be unable to be on two wheels.  This is something I greatly appreciate.

Motorcyclebloggers.com as an entity supports our troops 100%.  That is unwaivering.  I cannot and will not speak for the individual contributors here as to their personal opinions, but this site will never have disparaging remarks against our troops, especially in a time of war.  Ask each contributor about the “rules” for contributing and here both are:

  • must be motorcycle-related articles
  • keep the language PG-13

Tough I know.  Well, I just added a third rule:

  • will never have disparaging remarks against our troops

No, I’m not worried about it happening, nor did it with this being a reaction to any previous post.  I’m just keepin’ it real.

I have a great life.  I get to NOT get shot at in the course of doing my job.  I get to come home every night and see may family.  I have all this in a large part to those who laid their lives down in the name of our country.  I recognize, appreciate, and will respect that forever.

To all those members of our armed forces present and past, alive and dead…thanks.

I don’t agree with Bob’s sentiments about “our” troops, but I do agree that this site is not a forum for that disagreement. This site is about motorcycles and maybe the politics associated with motorcycles …. not foreign policy, world history and patriotism. It would behoove ALL “posters” to keep their views about “religion and politics” either pro or con to themselves. This site is about bikes and riding, period! There are plenty of other sites and forums which cater to expressions related to war and the contention it generates.
