MotoGP and My Discipline

I failed the test. I recorded the Motegi race on my DVR because I had to go into work. Anyway, when I got home I watched the race. Without doing the play-by-play, I saw Hayden’s awful start and got pretty anxious. There he was again running about 8th / 9th for quite some time and making little progress. As Rossi moved up the pack, I got more anxious.
As I was FFWD’ing through commercials, I wanted to see if Hayden magically moved up during the break - he didn’t for several commercial time-outs. Then I said to my self while skipping more commercials, “I should scan through the race on the lowest FFWD speed because the action is still visible. No way. I’m gonna watch it as if it were live.
After the next commercial block, I couldn’t take it any more. I ran through probably ten minutes of the race (after Hayden got around Elias, but before Stoner crashed) on the slowest FFWD speed. Why? I had to get to the end. I had to see what most others already knew by this time: HOW MANY POINTS DOES NICKY STILL HAVE OVER ROSSI???
You know the rest.
I am weak. I caved to temptation. I cannot be trusted.

I think Hayden is losing his grip, he’s slipping, will he fall (after all he’s already got a 2-more-year deal inked with HRC)? He’s only got a 12 points lead and 2 races to go, unless he beats Rossi or finishes right on his butt, he’s done!
I don’t think he can do it unless Rossi falters. The Doctor train has some serious momentum and the Hayden express is running out of steam. That said, the battle has all us race fans on the edge of our seats, great stuff! God, I love MotoGP!
