Yeah I know, not my normal topic. There is a purpose though as this is a friend and co-worker’s bike listed on ebay and I figured I would give it a brotherly plug.
What I can say:
This bike is featured in this month’s (Dec ‘06) V-Twin Magazine. No really…it is.
I know this guy well as I bought his dirt bike off of him some 3-4 years ago. He is an absolute nut about cleanliness and proper maintenance of his machinery. Heh - every time he sees his old dirt bike I am sure he fights back tears of disgust at a dirt bike that was once his. The other thing is that I have seen the finished product in person and its done up right. It has the perfect blend of accents with great contrasting color selection yet subtle enough not to need or demand attention. All of the parts are from top notch brands and the assembly was done in house…well in his garage.
What I can’t say:
How it performs as I have not ridden the bike, but it sure sounds great.
Check it out below and on the ebay auction:

AB - it’s beautiful. I like my chops a little more old school, 160/180 rear tires are fat enough for me. Your friend built a nice bike that isn’t ovet the top like so many customs are today (more chrome/fatter tire=biker build off creation…yuck).
For any other folks out there who like this kind of bike, check out Jesse James’ “History of the Chopper” documentary next time it airs on Discovery Channel. Great show, shout out to SugarBear who lays it out plain about the history (and the silliness of being a fake tough guy…).
