Poll - Can Nicky Hayden 3-Peat Laguna Seca???

That is the question in the new poll. It seems that he has found his mojo as of the last couple of races…that and a frame too. Granted, the German GP had some gift in terms of casualties in front of him, but he was pretty fast nonetheless towards the second half of the race.
Personally, I think he will win it. He, Hopper, and Edwards have home court advantage. That has proven itself reliable since the return to Laguna. I think that the Euro riders are scared shitless of the track layout in terms of safety and aren’t as good over the bumps as the home turf guys. Last year, Rossi reiterated such sentiments. I also remember an article in Roadracing World by Mat Oxley last year stating (complaining really), that the scary factor has been removed from the last several new tracks.
What say you?

Nicky looks good lately but I don’t know if he can take Stoner. Rossi doesn’t seem to get along with this track but is a likely podium finisher. I think Hopper might be the dark horse, methinks he’s looking to rub Suzuki’s nose in it now that he’s got a Kawasaki contract for next year. Both Pedrosa and Melandri seem to do well in California, so it should be a pretty exciting race. Let’s hope the “new” pavement is bump-free and doesn’t delaminate this year! And the temps look much more reasonable (high near 80 F) this year.
