Merry Moto Christmas & Happy Moto New Year

Another year has came and went. For me, 2007 was a blast. Not a lot of changes in the old stable, but some nonetheless. Bought an SV650 for the track and sold it about ten months later. In its place, I added a YZ250 so that I can pollute with a smile…like this :). Of course, a lot of gear and accessories have also been added and subtracted from the collection.
To celebrate, five of us went out an laid some fresh knobby prints in the desert yesterday. The weather was beautiful, the bikes ran well, and with one exception (heh- not me), no one crashed. We eeked out about a three hour ride of all kinds of trails ranging from WFO washes to 1st gear single track hill climbs. I could not imagine a better way to spend the morning.
I’ve received some gift cards from Home Depot & Sears. So now I need to think of good moto-related tools that I shouldn’t live without. See, its important that these gift cards are spent of tools and such versus something I need for the house, etc. Tools sometimes need to be rationalized. Home repairs will always find a way to be funded.
I if Sears carries hard, desert compound tires?
The blogging took a hit in the second half of 2007. I had a lot of business travel combined with not a lot of ridng due to the summer heat. Add to that the fact that I am not commuting on two wheels for a while and the saddle time on the street has been rather limted. I don’t know how I’ll be able to slam pixels at the monitor in 2008, but things should improve. That said, its likely that the flavor will change a little due to the desert dirt being more ridden than the asphahlt jungle.
As I say in many of my posts, “Life is good”.
