I just got word today that Scott Jesen has been given a world superbike wildcard position for the June 1st race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
For those who don’t know who Scott Jensen is, he is a Phoenix, AZ road racer that for the past few years has been chasing a dream to be an AMA road racing star. Scott Jensen is not some rich guy who is going racing, but an average motorcycle Joe that has put his whole life on hold to chase the dream. Last year Scott Jensen got a 3rd place at Road America in the SuperSport division. He ended up last year 5th overall in AMA SuperSport and 12th overall in the AMA Superbike Division racing the same SuperSport bike.
Scott is chasing a dream of making it on the WSBK stage. In so, he has started to take donations to support this one race. The estimate is, it will cost Scott about $5,000 to run that one race. With the support of his Brother in Law Arron Clark, I think Scooter (Scott’s Nickname) has a good chance of making a good showing.
If their was ever an underdog to pull for Scott Jensen is it. This past year he moved from Phoenix to Denver to live near his brother in law Arron Clark. Scott has put his whole life on hold chasing the AMA dream for the past 5 years. I say we show some support and give him that boost to have a great run at the WSBK race at Miller Motorsports.
