Ugh: Cell Phones and Motorcycle Riders

I knew it was only a matter of time before I would see this:
A guy at a light on a gixxer-something, shorts and a t-shirt for pretective gear, sunglasses for head protection, and was talking on his cell phone at a red light. Seriously, what could be so important that you need to make a call while on a bike. Nonetheless, he delayed the rest of the traffic as he disconnected the call and put the phone away. It smoked about five full seconds of a green light. While not a big deal on paper, five seconds is an eternity for the guy second in line.
Still. I could see Bluetooth possibly with the use of speed dial - basically hands free calling - but this was just silly.
Had I a camera in car…

It was only a matter of when, not if.
I’ve seen a few riders with a hands-free cord or headset, but can’t imagine the wind noise would allow a conversation at anything but a standstill (even with noise cancellation).
But the bigger question is whether, in an activity that requires so much concentration just to survive, if we need another distraction?!?!
Short of an actual law, this activity will go on, because it can.
The future is looking more dangerous all the time!!!
