About Us & Site Info

The Motorcycle Bloggers Group are motorcycle riders and enthusiasts from all walks of life, with all types of bikes, spread out over the USA. What we have in common is the love of the ride and a desire to opine about it online. In addition, some of us have gained a lot of knowledge over the years and want to share that information in the Tech Talk section in hopes that the articles will serve as a learning tool for those in need. Our collective riding years range from newbie to about forty years so the experience and knowledge base is very diverse. Our goal is to create a place that people will visit for their reading pleasure because the articles written are relevant, possibly helpful, and simply make sense.
The purpose of the GROUP BLOG idea is many. It gives the readers different flavors on various motorcycle topics based on different backgrounds and riding experiences. The group also spreads the work load a little, since most of us have a day job, with the attempt to post at least one article per day. Finally, it allows a better chance at regional coverage since we live in different states within the USA.
While none of us are professional journalists, we take pride in the content of our writings. We look forward to readers’ comments as we value other opinions. Please feel free to comment as you see fit on articles that interest you, but of course be smart. Stupidity will be deleted…and probably mocked!
This site will not serve as any one Contributor’s personal axe to grind with a dealership, vendor, etc. There are two sides to every story, and while bad deals indeed do occur, those same places more than likely have happy customers who go unheard. It is rare that people talk about the good experience, yet megaphone the bad. This site will also not veer from motorcycle topics (read: not a political blog EVER!).
We are always looking to add bloggers to our group. I does not matter what brand or type of motorcycle you ride, what matters is that you ride. It also matters that you have a will to take the time to share your thoughts and do it in a way that is clear, concise, and easy to read. If you’re interested in possibly joining our group, send me a note! If you have comments or suggestions about how, what, and why we do what we do, send me a note! (angrybob AT motorcyclebloggers.com)
Site FAQ and Features
Q: How come when I submitted a comment it dodn’t show up?
A: Its likely that the comment got flagged as possible spam. If its only a couple of words, has multiple links, or is vague compared to the ‘keywords’ your comment probably went into moderation. Due to the high amounts of spam that plague blogs, filter must be applied (see the footer of this page). If your comment does not show up and you’re not a spammer, give it time…it will. I check the moderation no less than once per day. It is not necessary to type the comment in again.
I also figured that since I am always trying to improve the format, that I will keep a running log of them so that the readers will know the features available to them. I hope this helps.
- Author image - puts a face to a name and if you click on the image, all of the articles by that author will be listed in descending order by date written.
- Live comment preview - allows the author of a comment to view the comment as its typed.
- Edit comment - allows the author of a comment to edit that comment for 30 minutes after submittal.
Thanks for reading,
MBG
