New Tire

Well my first ride of the year lasted about 3 and a half minutes,  yes that is including the time it took to warm up the bike.  And that is all I am going to say.

Anyway how in the hell do I get the ceramic glass coating off my new tire?  And if you are going to say just wear it off save your comment.  I will surely be dead before the epoxy coating wears off.   Please help!!!

Free Motorcycle**

**Well not really but it should have got your attention.  This is in response to a comment by Rhino.  He commented that he was trying to get the readers more involved.  Now that I have your attention you can finish reading my psycho babble.

I am sure at least one other rider out there must read Super Streetbike.  This month they talk about Kane Friesen jumping on board with Kawasaki.  One thing that stands out for me is that to maintain his sponsorship he must practice and compete in a safe and responsible manner.  In theory thats great but is there anywhere you can actually stunt that the fuzz will leave you alone?  Does anyone have experience with a parking lot you can practice

Will It Ever End!?!

O.K I give up.  The day I moved back to my home Province I just about wet my pants when a rice cooker went screaming past the moving truck.  Since then we have had a foot of snow and temps well below zero.

I religiously go out to the garage and take the cover off my bike every Saturday and stare at it praying for the day.  Even if the ice was gone out of our neighborhood I would brave the temp just to give her a spur in the guts.

Not that I expect you to stop (because there is no way I would) but its killing me when you guys are talking about weekend rides or going racing.  I’m not saying you

Why Men Are Rarley Published In Dear Abby

  Dear Abby,

I’ve never written to you before, but I really need your advice on
what could be a crucial decision. I’ve suspected for some time now that my
wife has been cheating on me.

The usual signs… Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up.
My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when I ask
their names she always says, “Just some friends from work, you don’t know
them.”

I always stay awake to look out for her taxi coming home, but she
always walks down the drive. Although I can hear a car driving off, as if
she has gotten out of the car round the corner. Why? Maybe she wasn’t in a
taxi?

Insurance Scam

The mention of mandnitory insurance has remined me how pissed off I get every spring.  Why is it that I pay double to insure my 1000cc over what I could insure a 500cc?  They don’t care what year it is (except for collision insurance) if it’s a 1000cc its double.  Its about three quarters to insure a 600cc.  I have being riding bikes for 24 years and some newbie can walk off the street and get cheaper insurance because he rides an R6.  What the hell?

If a bug hits your windshield at 60mph does it really matter how many cc’s that bug was?  No it’s still the same size splat.  I think they use this as a cash cow.  I

Enlightened and Moving

I have been very self involved the last 2 weeks.  I have made sure to read everyones posts and add my 2 cents when I could.  But I have just began hell month.

I was wooed back to the motherland (Alberta) to take on a new job.  I had  to decide to take the job, sell my house, buy a house and move all by February 1.  Man I love pressure.  Now I realize its my job to think what is best for my family………but this is the best place in Canada to ride a bike. (Despite the 3 feet of snow we have).  Alberta is flat and straight you can actually watch your dog run away for three days.  I am

Graduated Licence

I was strolling down the street this summer looking forward to the end of another work day.  It was around 90 outside and I was looking forward to my ride home along the lake.  I ran into Dave sitting having a smoke and solving the world’s problems.  We started talking about a bike he had built and sold then the conversation moved to BCCOM.  Dave is one of the hierarchy in the BCCOM organization.

BCCOM is the British Columbia Coalation of Motorcyclists.  They have a rather strong voice when it comes to lobbying the goverment on behalf of all motorcyclists.  They lobbied to have us included in HOV lanes, and priority loading on BC ferries, to name a few.

Anyhow they are now tableing
